CURRENT SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

7:00 PM – 10:00 PM – Registration & Get-Together –
During this period we will register, distribute participants’ packages and convention salts. Tables will be set to sell raffle tickets, to accept door prizes, and to accept auction material.

Display and Buy/Sell Set-Up can be done Thursday evening (both rooms will be secured).

7:30 AM – 8:30 AM – Continental Breakfast

7:30 AM – 8:30 AM – Additional Time for Display and Buy/Sell Set-Up

8:30 AM – 9:30 AM- Program 1 - Terry Crider – Crider Glass Q and A

9:30 AM – 10:30 AM -Program 2 - Decorate Your Own Salt Program

10:30 AM- 12:30 AM – Buy-Sell Session #1

10:40 AM – Drawing for “Buying Spree”

12:30 PM – 1:30 PM – Lunch (Displays open for viewing)

1:30 PM – 2:30 PM – Program 3 - John Shuman, III author and speaker presenting “A History of American Art Glass Open Salts”

2:30 PM – 4:00 PM – Program 4 - Reverse Auction

4:00 PM – 6:00 PM – Buy-Sell Session 2; Appraisal Fair begins; Displays Open for viewing and voting

Dinner on your own

Evening – Free Time – 7:30 – 9:30 Hospitality Room is Open for socializing.

8:00 AM – Buses Depart for Winterthur – Philly B.O.B. (Breakfast On Board) – ‘Bagels Wit A Schmear’ (cream cheese or butter) and juice and coffee will be available on the buses.

9:00 AM – 11:30 AM- Program 5 – One Hour Salt Tours begin at Winterthur (10 people/tour + docent), leaving every 10 minutes. While awaiting (or after) the Salt Tour, members will take Garden Tram Tours, conduct self-guided tour through the public portion of the museum and shop at the museum stores.

12:30 PM – 1:30 PM – Lunch at Winterthur (members will receive lunch tickets in their registration packets)

1:30 PM – 2:30 PM – Program 6 - Mary Pentin speaking on “BATTERSEA AND BILSTON TYPE ENAMELS”

2:30 PM – Departure from Winterthur back to hotel

3:30 PM – 5:00 PM Appraisal Fair continues

6:30 PM – Theme Costume Banquet

Program 7 - Special Surprise Speaker – This VIP has requested that we avoid releasing his/her name to avoid undue outside publicity taking away from the subject of Salts and Salting that is the topic to be addressed.

Program 8 - Reading of Storytelling Entries and voting (during dinner) – Awarding of Daum and Steuben Drean Salt Drawing (If not present, winner will be called from the ceremony)

9:00 AM -- ? Join the Diamond’s at their home (four minutes from the Clarion) for coffee, bagels, more ‘salt talk’ and to check out their collection. (check off spot on Registration Form or during Registration, itself, if you plan to attend).
